Choose the appropriate calibration method: Select the appropriate calibration method based on the type and measurement range of the tension tester. Common calibration methods include zero calibration, full-scale calibration, and linear calibration.
Zero point calibration: Adjust the tension tester reading to zero without applying any force. Ensure that the instrument is placed on a stable surface, adjust it using standard weights, and record the force value and instrument reading during zero calibration.
Full range calibration: Adjust the reading of the tension tester to its maximum measurement range. Adjust using standard weights equal to the maximum measurement range of the instrument, and record the force value and instrument reading at full range calibration.
Linear calibration: Check the linear relationship between the output signal of the tension tester and its input signal. Select multiple different force values for linear calibration, calculate errors, and adjust instruments to ensure linearity meets requirements.
